FMCSA Is Launching a New Registration System in 2025
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) is developing a new registration system to streamline the registration process for new applicants and the management of the registration life cycle for existing registered entities. The platform will be a one-stop-shop that includes user roles for individuals and businesses that support registered entities.
FMCSA will begin rolling out the new system in phases beginning in 2025, with the new portal opening January 1, 2025.
FMCSA’s goal with the launch of the new registration system is to simplify the registration process, streamline identification, improve the user experience, and incorporate enhanced verification tools.
Updates to the FMCSA registration process will include:
- Simplified registration
- Streamlined registration identification
- Improved and intuitive user experience
- Enhanced verification and fraud reduction
FMCSA has held a Stakeholder Day II in May, which is available to watch. Stakeholder Day III will be held on October 21. Participants must have registered by October 14.
