Prepare Your Fleet of Trucks for the Warmer Weather
Your trucks worked hard throughout the winter season, but now that spring is upon us it’s time to switch gears and get your fleet ready for whatever might come your way during the warmer months.
Here are some tips to help keep your equipment in top shape!
Spring Cleaning
Give your equipment a good wash to remove built-up dirt, salt, dust, grease or debris. Don’t neglect the engine compartment when cleaning as debris can damage the engine and reduce its lifespan.
Fluid Check
Make sure you’re up to date on oil changes and that you check and top off your trucks’ coolant to avoid damage from overheating – this is especially important on those hot summer days.
Battery & Tire Check
Clean the connections for the battery and charge it if necessary. Ensure tire pressure readings are taken regularly to avoid damage to the equipment, flat tires or blowouts.
