How to Spot a Quality Fleet Service Facility

- 2:14 pm - August 12th, 2021

At the Truck Service of Virginia, we are often asked how to spot a quality fleet service facility. We know that a company’s trucks are vital to its operations, and that if one breaks down, it needs to be repaired quickly and correctly. That’s why we’ve obtained the following authorizations, so you know your fleet is in good hands:

R-Stamp Certificate: The National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors offers the R Certificate of Authorization, signified by an R Stamp, to accredited organizations that perform repairs and alterations to pressure-retaining items. In order to receive R Stamp approval for welds and repairs, mechanics must be rigorously tested and certified in the quality of their weld joints.

Department of Transportation (DOT) Approval for Cargo Tank Testing: A DOT approved service facility must perform an internal inspection and hydrostatic tests on cargo tanks every 5 years. Cargo tanks must also be visually inspected and tested for leaks annually.

All TSVA repairs are up to Department of Transportation code and use only the highest quality, brand name parts installed by our expertly trained mechanics to ensure longer-lasting and higher-quality repairs.
