At Truck Service of Virginia, we pride ourselves on being the perfect provider for customers who are particular about their trucks. We don’t aim to sell you something close to what you want. We aim to meet your needs exactly. One of the keys to being the “perfect provider” is having the perfect partners behind you. When it comes to building you that new truck, we’re proud to work with top manufacturers like Auto Crane, EnPak and Stellar. Auto Crane is the first name in service cranes. In fact, they invented the very first mobile field service crane. Trusted around the world by people who know what it means to stake your reputation on a piece of equipment under challenging conditions, Auto Crane solutions are engineered to lighten your workload, boost productivity, prioritize safety and make a positive difference in your bottom line. EnPak systems are available on any service truck from TSVA. These versatile systems feature an air compressor and generator, and are available with a hydraulic pump and various welding options. They’re powered by a fuel-efficient diesel engine that’s integrated with the truck’s fuel supply and battery. The systems are engineered to provide complete jobsite functionality with your work truck’s engine turned off. They also deliver savings on fuel costs and truck maintenance while improving jobsite conditions and extending the life of your truck. If it’s a heavy-duty hoist you need, Stellar was the first U.S. company to design and manufacture a hydraulic hooklift hoist. Today the company has more than 40 different hooklift models featuring single-pivot, double-pivot and sliding jib designs. The company also created the industry’s first hexagon-shaped boom design delivering 20 feet of all-hydraulic reach. Today they offer a full line of cranes including models that range in capacities up to 14,000 pounds and 30-feet of reach. Every company or utility has unique needs for their mechanics’ trucks. At TSVA, we work to bring you the specialized engineering expertise of the innovators featured here and many others to build the new truck that matches your specifications … exactly. On June 6, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) announced new regulations governing the use of seat belts in large commercial trucks. As of August 8, 2016, all passengers riding in such trucks are required to use seat belts whenever the vehicle is operating on public roads while engaged in interstate commerce. This revised rule may place liability upon the motor carrier and the driver if the passenger is not wearing his or her seat belt, so be sure that your riders are buckled up at all times! U.S. Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx says, “Whether you’re a driver or passenger, in a personal vehicle or large truck, the simple act of wearing a safety belt significantly reduces the risk of fatality in a crash.” That much seems obvious. However, if you’re looking for more ways to ensure the safety of your fleet, you can always turn to the commercial vehicle experts at TSVA. We offer a wide range of vehicle customization options, as well as DOT Cargo Tank Testing that will help keep your rigs in full compliance with FMCSA regulations. We’ll install the seat belts in your cab, but it’s your job to keep them fastened. Visit the FMCSA website to learn more about the new seat belt rules, and remember to buckle up....

We know what you’re thinking – odds are the word “compact” makes you think of that cramped four-wheel box you used to deliver pizzas with when you were 17, roof Velcro® included. But just like many of today’s compact cars pack a serious punch in terms of style, features and performance, the compact and consolidated Peterbilt Model 220 proves that you don’t need to be the biggest on the block to be the best. In fact, you’ll find the word “best” to be a very apt description for the Model 220’s wide array of features. There are so many, we at TSVA don’t quite know where to begin. Should we first mention the 6.7-liter PACCAR PX-7 engine that cranks out 660 lb-ft of torque with excellent fuel efficiency? How about the tight and highly maneuverable turning radius? And we know you’d definitely like to hear about the ergonomic and surprisingly spacious driver cabin featuring overhead and rear-wall storage compartments. But of course, that’s the real beauty of the Model 220. Like many of the great vehicles that have sped their way down the racetracks of our imaginations, the Model 220 is truly the sum of its fantastic parts. Vigorous power, low chassis weight, 360-degree visibility, driver safety protection, and standard Allison automatic transmission all come together to create a versatile truck that’s got the punch card for a wide variety of jobs. Yeah, it’s perfect for high-volume applications like beverage delivery, but it’s also great for street sweeping and paint striping. And when the job is done, service checks are made easy. The front panel opens for quick access to the air filter, coolant, refrigerant, washer fluid, power-steering fluid and engine oil. For power, versatility, convenience, and easy maintenance in one affordable and yes, compact, package, the Model 220 is the truck your fleet can rely on. Bye week. You know the term all too well: that dreaded span of time between Championship Sunday and the Super Bowl. During this football vacuum, NFL analysts are left to debate the same several points over and over again until the Big Game, such as who among the league’s elite will go down in the history books as the G.O.A.T (greatest of all time). Of course, there’s one shoe-in for that title you may not hear much about on sports networks. That’s because this all-pro doesn’t lace up cleats or wear eye-black, but it is ready to make great plays. We’re talking, of course, about the Mack® Pinnacle™ truck. It’s no coincidence that the word “pinnacle’ is synonymous with “greatest”, and this stalwart staple of the Mack badge ticks just about every box of greatness there is. The Pinnacle of Power The MP® Engine Series is a lightweight, highly fuel-efficient engine that also happens to deliver a championship combination of horsepower and low-end torque to give you all the muscle you need to cross the end zone, no matter how far the pylons are. Brute force and mobility? That’s the stuff of gridiron legend. The Pinnacle of Versatility From flatbed duty to bulk hauling to freight transportation, there isn’t a route in any playbook too challenging for the Pinnacle™. With a host of forward and back axle options to suit any application, this sure-footed player has plenty of tricks up its sleeves. The Pinnacle of Comfort What fuels a game-winning performance better than a host of sideline amenities between drives? Pinnacle’s spacious cab makes hard work less of a chore, with an ergonomic design that gives drivers plenty of leg, belly and headroom. The cab air ride protects drivers from rough roads, and getting in and out of the cab is nearly effortless, thanks to the well-placed steps and handles. Plus, sound deadening insulation and glare-reducing lighting make driving concentration a breeze. Your roster isn’t truly complete without a Pinnacle (or fleet of Pinnacles) in your ranks. After all, a championship victory is only driven by the champions on the field. We’ll leave the quarterback comparisons to the analysts, but when it comes to evaluating the greatest on the road, what else but the Mack Pinnacle™ can carry that trophy home? Experience the Pinnacle of trucking for yourself. Contact TSVA today to check out this and other MVP models from Mack....
